IGNOU MSCENV Project Work (MEVP-11) is a four-credit project that will expose you to new experiences and aid you in learning by experience. The IGNOU MSCENV Project Work (MEVP-11) will aid you in gaining not just academic knowledge, but also the ability to appraise environmental and occupational health challenges, programs, and initiatives. Additionally, the guidelines to work for IGNOU MSCENV Project (MEVP-11) will act as a reference, outlining how to design an IGNOU MSCENV Synopsis, conduct the study, produce the IGNOU MSCENV Report, and submit it for evaluation.
The following point should be considered during the preparation of the IGNOU MEVP-11 Synopsis/Proposal:
1. When Choosing a Topic for IGNOU MSCENV Synopsis, Keep the following points in mind;
The Project Proposal should explicitly include the Title, Introduction, Objectives, Problem Statement, Research Methodology (including the location, sample size, instruments, and statistical techniques to be used), Limitations if any, and References.
2. Consult with your supervisor for aid in narrowing down the subject.
The following persons are competent to act as supervisors for the IGNOU MSCENV Project:
a) Faculty members based at the headquarters.
b) Academic Counselors with a postgraduate certificate in environmental and occupational health and relevant experience.
c) Educators/Researchers specializing in Sustainable Development.
d) Ph.D. in environmental science/study, economics, sociology, anthropology, or a closely related discipline.
e) A master’s or doctorate in environmental science/study, economics, sociology, anthropology, or another closely related field, as well as at least two years of research or teaching experience.
If the proposed supervisor is deemed unacceptable by the School of Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Studies, the student will be contacted and instructed to resubmit the request with an alternative supervisor. As a result, the student must resubmit the IGNOU MSCENV Proposal with the signature of the new supervisor, as this would be considered a fresh submission. Similarly, if a student decides to change supervisors for whatever reason, he or she must submit the project proposal together with the signature of the new supervisor on a new project proposal proforma since this would be viewed as a new submission.
Academic counselors should identify exactly which courses they are advising and for how long, as well as the name and code of the study center to which they have been assigned. The University will offer a modest salary of Rs.300/- to the project supervisor for counseling the student (the payment may be revised from time to time).
Responsibilities as a Supervisor
3. Submission and Approval of an IGNOU MSCENV Project Proposal
After picking a supervisor and deciding on a topic, students should submit the Project Proposal Proforma, one copy of the Project Proposal signed by the supervisor, and the supervisor’s bio-data to the Coordinator (MSCENV), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 for approval. Students admitted to the January session are asked to submit project proposals by 30th April; those admitted to the July session are advised to submit projects by 31st October to guarantee timely approval and completion of the program.
Students who miss these dates may submit an IGNOU MSCENV Synopsis/Proposal for approval at any time throughout the academic year.
4. Communication of Approval
Within six weeks of the proposal’s receipt at the School, the student will get a formal notification on the project’s acceptance or rejection through email and normal mail.
5. Request for Resubmission of IGNOU MEVP-11 Synopsis/Proposal
If the idea is rejected, the student will get comments/suggestions on how to improve the IGNOU MEVP-11 Project Proposal. In this case, the modified project proposal should be submitted along with the revised project proposal proforma and a copy of the rejected project proposal, as well as the project proposal proforma that includes the evaluator’s opinions and the assigned P.P. No.
The following point should be considered during the preparation of the IGNOU MSCENV Dissertation/Project:
1. Conceptualization
The report’s length should be roughly 40 to 50 double-spaced written pages with a maximum word count of approximately 10,000 words (excluding appendices and exhibits). However, a 10% deviation on each side is permitted.
Each project report must have the following sections: Title, Introduction, Objectives, Problem Statement, Research Methodology (including the locality, sample, instruments, and statistical techniques to be utilized), Results and Discussion, Summary, and any limitations.
Additionally, the IGNOU MSCENV Project Report should include the following:
a) A copy of the project proposal proforma and the approved project proposal.
b) An originality certificate signed by both the student and the supervisor.
2. Submission of an IGNOU MSCENV Project Report
A single typed copy of the IGNOU MSCENV Report should be sent to IGNOU’s Registrar (Students Evaluation Division), Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110 068. Once you submit the IGNOU MSCENV Dissertation, you will be assigned a P.R. No., which will be sent to the student. When communicating with the Students Evaluation Division on the Project Report, the student should reference this P.R.No.
Any time during the year, an IGNOU MSCENV Dissertation Project may be filed. If a Project Report is filed between the 1st of December and the 31st of May, the outcome will be announced concurrently with the June term-end examinations.
